Madha is the perfect place to plan your off-roading trip if you have photography skills. To reach the city of Madha from the east coast of the UAE, you need to take the E99 road. Make sure you have a GPS on or use a map.

Following the road towards the mountains, you will reach the Oman checkpoint. You do not need a visa to enter this country, and you are free to pass through this checkpoint if you are a UAE resident.

Wadi Asimah

Asimah is one of the best off-road tracks in the UAE. It is a small paradise of a desert, lush foliage, large fruit trees, and shady paths. It is located on the road to the Jiri plain, between Manama and Ras Al Khaimah. In addition, Wadi Asimah is very easy to reach.

However, the road is short but tricky to cross by car. It joins the famous wadis Sidr and Tayyaba, also famous off-road racing locations. Asimah is an ideal place for drivers with little off-road experience. So, this is where you can enjoy picturesque views and spend quality time.

In addition to off-roading, Asimah is also well known for its prehistoric sites. Stop by the Ras Al Khaimah Museum to see historical artifacts and ancient objects. Some are even older than before the Christ era.

Moreeb Dunes

The Moreeb is the highest dune in the United Arab Emirates. It reaches over 300 meters in height. The Rub al Khali desert is 25 kilometers south of Liwa oasis. Besides, Moreeb Dunes has a steep slope with an angle of 50 degrees and is famous for being the most dangerous area in the UAE.

However, it is a paradise for off-roading enthusiasts and adventure lovers. Moreeb Dunes is an ideal place for running your 4×4 in giant dunes. The area is almost entirely uninhabited, giving you the freedom to take adventurous off-roading.

Best outdoor activities in UAE

The UAE is the ultimate destination for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure lovers, attracting people from all over the world. Read More!

Outdoor activities in UAE

There is a reason why the United Arab Emirates is one of the top tourist destinations. This is due to its picturesque landscapes and a myriad of adventurous outdoor activities such as ocean surfing, cycling, and desert safaris.

The United Arab Emirates is the perfect place to go if you’re looking for a fun, quality vacation destination. Here’s a list of all the outdoor activities you can enjoy when visiting the Emirates. Read on!

1. Camping in the Desert

Everyone needs a little digital detox from time to time when the pressures of modern life seem to overwhelm them. The best way to do this is to load up the car, head to the desert, camp out, and soothe your soul in the sand.

With its artificial lagoons and fantastic wildlife, it is hard to believe you are a few miles from the heart of the city, but it is so picturesque. In addition, it is dangerous to drive through the desert and camp in a random place.

However, in Al-Qudra, the more people there is the more room for everyone. Glamping is an option, but if it is the wilderness, why not pitch a tent for two, have a barbecue, and relax with your loved ones as the sun sets and the stars begin to twinkle?

2. Explore Palm West Beach

The Palm West Beach is a beautiful beachfront promenade and has become one of the most popular attractions in the UAE. With restaurants, bars, entertainment, and water sports along the beach, this “sunset destination” will tell you when it is time to party.

In addition, the mile-long boardwalk and beach are pet-friendly and feature 300 palm trees lit at night. Coco Bay, a Bali-themed beach bar and restaurant, Lucky Fish, a hip beach club and restaurant, and Senor Pico, a Mexican restaurant, are all popular, with more opening soon. Grab your camera to take pictures and enjoy beautiful views with your family or friends.

3. Cycling Adventures

In Abu Dhabi, you can cycle through miles of blacktop roads and endless desert-like areas. Take a bike to the empty neighborhood, ride down mountainous dunes, tackle the 4,068-foot summit of Jebel Hafit, or cycle the six-mile Al Fudayyat Island trail watching the picturesque city.

4. Walk around Liwa Fort

Spanning 60 miles of greenery, Liwa Fort offers 360-degree views of the palm plantations of the Liwa Oasis and the dunes beyond. The seven mud-brick forts and fortresses that once protected the region’s water supply are a must for courageous travelers and history enthusiasts.

5. Mangrove Kayaking

Abu Dhabi’s mangrove reserves are close to the city, and a kayaking trip is the perfect stress-relieving activity. A 90-minute kayak tour takes you through the mangroves east of the capital. You can also opt for Al Raba’s Mangrove Eco Tour to learn more about this unique ecosystem. There is also a night tour where you can observe the local marine life with the help of LED lights attached to the bottom of the kayak.

5. Wadi Adventure

If you prefer water sports or walking in the desert, this is the place for you. Wadi Adventure is one of the best places for white water rafting. In addition, this adventure sports facility is one of a kind in the Middle East. We love white water rafting on a man-made river, and you should do the same because it is fun and adventurous. Moreover, it is a beautiful outdoor area for families with kids.

Snoopy Island

Snoopy Island is a place you don’t want to miss. You can spend all day exploring the incredible coral reefs. The waters of this island are crystal clear, and you can feel the tranquility. In addition, Snoopy Island in Fujairah has rocks shaped like the famous cartoon dog lying on his back.

The best way to experience the wonders of this island is to stay at the Sandy Beach Hotel & Resort. There are several other hotels near Snoopy Island, but this one deserves a special mention. With Mount Hajar in the background, this hotel overlooks the sea and the Beach of Fujairah Snoopy Island.

Final words

The endless outdoor fun activities UAE has to offer will undoubtedly make your stay worthwhile and a lifetime of tremendous experience with your family and friends. Until next time!

Best spots for hiking in UAE

Many people ask: what are the best spots for hiking in the UAE? Check out this post for the most authentic information and details. Read Here!

Best spots for hiking in UAE

Hiking is an adventurous activity to enjoy the picturesque views and pump your adrenaline, improving your overall wellbeing. Unlike other countries in the Middle East, the UAE has diverse landscapes and valleys, offering beautiful and mesmerizing spots for hiking. So, without further ado, let us give you a list of the best sites for hiking in the UAE. Read on!

1. Wadi Abadilah

Wadi Abadilah is famous for its beautiful natural scenery. It offers an easy to moderate trail through farmland with mango trees, banana trees, and date palm trees. Because this area has frequent rainfall, you can find a lot of streams or rock pools in the Wadi.

The hike is doable for small children, but some rocks are slippery. Not only will you relish the stunningly gorgeous views of the Wadi, but you will also enjoy the cool fresh breeze to soothe your soul. So, hiking in this area is a mesmerizing experience to create memories.

2. Jebel Hafeet

Jebel Hafeet is a beautiful mountain region in Abu Dhabi, offering numerous hiking trails for people of all ages and skill levels. Mubazzarah Park is a lush green area for hiking. However, we recommend doing your research to know whether the government has closed this place due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

There is also a “smuggling route” that starts from the Desert Park on the other side of the mountain. Remember, both routes are suitable for beginner and intermediate hikers. However, we don’t recommend some hiking trails for children because some of the rocks are dangerous to hike on and can pose a risk of falling.

3. Jebel Mleiha

You can find beautiful dunes and the geological wonders of fossil rocks at Jebel Mleiha. Bear in mind to start your adventure with some light hiking and rock climbing before indulging in real climbing.

Because there are no marked routes, make sure you have your smartphone with the map application. The purpose is to avoid getting lost in the area. Besides, you can relish the gorgeous view of this fossil rock, take photos, and create memories.

4. Jebel Jais

Jebel Jais, the highest mountain in the United Arab Emirates, has two hiking areas. There is a total of six hiking trails of varying difficulty. There are five trails of varying abilities on the lower level, ranging from 0.7 kilometers to 6 kilometers. The 0.7 kilometers trail is easy, popularly known as the Farfar trail.

Thanks to the tremendous efforts of the UAE government, Jebel Jais has become a hub for adventure seekers. It is also home to 1484, the highest restaurant in the country, named after its height above sea level.

5. Ain Al Sheria

Ain Al Sheria is one of the most geologically spectacular and colorful hiking trails in the United Arab Emirates. The hiking trail is located in northwestern Fujairah. The track is undoubtedly unique, with impressive bright reddish-brown and huge rocks with ancient petroglyphs on them.

The 8.8 kilometers trail is well-marked thanks to the recent efforts of the UAE government. However, the hike is challenging and unsuitable for people who lack physical strength. Therefore, it requires some experience.

Moreover, there are shelters along the way where you can rest in the shade, but it is mainly in the sun, so don’t forget your sunscreen. Furthermore, we recommend carrying more water to stay hydrated in the intense heat. Parking is limited, and you will need a 4×4 to access the trail.

6. Hatta Mountain

Hatta is a popular spot for families and friends, including the Hatta Wadi Hub, a fun adventure center. There are also several hiking trails to explore on Mount Hajar. In addition, you can choose from three routes. These include Easy, Moderate, and difficult.

With about 33 kilometers of trails, you can expect trails leading to rolling hills, Wadis, farms, dams, small villages, and the famous Hatta plateau. We recommend this trail because it has numerous amenities, including toilets and shower rooms. Thus, this makes the trail ideal for families with small children.

Final Words

When wanting to go hiking, most people think of countries like Switzerland and Canada. However, the UAE is not behind the western countries when it comes to picturesque hiking trails. The only difference is the weather conditions, but hiking in warm and temperate conditions has its own unique vibe. Until Next Time!
