Ingredients
- Two cups of milk
- Three tablespoons of cornstarch or corn flour
- ¼ cup of granulated sugar
- Two cardamom seeds – crushed
- One tablespoon of crushed pistachios
- One teaspoon of rose petals – edible
Instructions
- Mix a half cup of cold milk and corn flour
- Whisk well to create a smooth texture
- Add the remaining milk to a medium saucepan
- Now add sugar and crushed cardamon seeds
- Set the heat to medium and cook the mixture until it is hot
- Stir to dissolve the sugar
- Once done, bring the mixture to the simmer
- Next, add corn flour and milk mixture and whisk together
- Continue whisking on low heat to achieve a pudding consistency
- Once you have achieved a thick pudding, remove it from the heat
- Add the dessert to the bowls and refrigerate for a few hours
- Garnish the Mahalabia with edible rose petals or crushed pistachios
