Dubai shipyard beside Port Rashid that builds new vessels and offshore structures and converts and repairs ships.
Drydocks World operates the large dry dock complex next to Port Rashid in Dubai. The project was conceived in 1971 and the yard opened in 1983, first as a repair facility. Since 1994 it has also built new vessels, and its work covers new vessels, offshore structures for the energy sector, ship conversions and the repair and maintenance of merchant ships. The yard sits on a large waterfront site in the city and is equipped with dry docks and a heavy floating crane used for marine lifting work.
