Abu Dhabi Organic Farms (Mazaraa)

Certified organic farm in Al Bahya, Abu Dhabi, growing vegetables and fruit and producing Sidr honey.

Abu Dhabi Organic Farms, known as Mazaraa, is a farm in the Al Bahya area of Abu Dhabi. According to the emirate’s tourism authority, it was the first farm in the UAE to gain organic certification, in 2007. It grows organic vegetables such as chillies, sweet potatoes, aubergines and tomatoes, along with fruit, and it produces Sidr honey and eggs. The farm also receives visitors for guided tours, planting and harvesting sessions and animal feeding, making it both a producer and an agritourism stop near the capital.
