Ashok Leyland, the Indian commercial vehicle maker that belongs to the Hinduja Group, runs a bus manufacturing plant in Ras Al Khaimah that has been producing buses since 2008. The plant builds the 55-seat Falcon and the 32-seat Oyster, used as school, staff and transport buses. In one major contract the RAK facility was chosen to build 1,400 school buses for the UAE. It is listed here as a foreign brand with local production.
