Pharmax Pharmaceuticals operates a pharmaceutical plant at Dubai Science Park in Barsha South. According to Gulf News, the facility makes medicines for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol, as well as mental health treatments including antidepressants, anti-migraine drugs, antipsychotics and medicines for anxiety and sleep. The company is listed as part of the Acino group and is one of a small number of drug factories operating in Dubai.
