Swiss Arabian was founded in 1974 by a Yemeni perfumer who settled in the UAE, and it is still run by the founding family. Production takes place at a factory in a Sharjah industrial area, which turns out perfume sprays, concentrated oils, lotions and boxed bakhoor. A signature product is oud muattar, wood chips soaked in scented oil. The range also covers hair mists and home fragrances. The company sells through its own stores and exports to many countries, and its name reflects a long partnership with a Swiss fragrance supplier.
