Dubai company turning collected plastic bottles into Greenspun yarn for uniforms, clothing and accessories.
DGrade is a Dubai company, based at Dubai Science Park, that designs and supplies clothing made from recycled plastic bottles. Bottles collected through its recycling programmes are processed into a polyester yarn it markets as Greenspun, which is then used to make corporate uniforms, workwear for sectors such as hospitality and aviation, private label garments and its own retail items. The range also includes bags and caps. The company says it has been supplying businesses since 2010, and an industry report notes that it also runs a recycling plant in Abu Dhabi that turns clear PET into flakes for local packaging makers.
