Al Khaleej Sugar operates a sugar refinery in Jebel Ali, Dubai, with a business office in Garhoud. The company was set up in 1992 and began production in July 1995. It refines imported raw cane sugar into white sugar in fine, extra fine and coarse grades, and also produces liquid sugar for industrial users. Molasses is sold as a by-product. The name means The Gulf Sugar, and its output serves both the UAE and export markets.
