Large indoor vertical farm near Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai, growing pesticide-free leafy greens.

Bustanica is an indoor hydroponic vertical farm near Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, covering around 330,000 square feet. It was set up by Emirates Flight Catering with the vertical farming company Crop One. The farm grows leafy greens such as lettuce, arugula, spinach and salad mixes without soil or pesticides, with a stated output of more than one million kilograms a year. The greens supply Emirates inflight catering and are also sold in UAE supermarkets as packed salads.
