YAP is a financial technology app developed in the UAE that lets users open an IBAN account on their phone using their mobile number and face verification. The app tracks transactions, receipts and notes in one place, lets users create virtual cards for online shopping, shows spending analytics and handles bill payments with reminders. It advertises no minimum balance. YAP does not provide banking services itself; accounts are held with Ruya Community Islamic Bank, which is licensed by the UAE Central Bank.
