Dubai company founded in 2010 that recycles used cooking oil into biodiesel at a plant in Dubai Industrial City.

Lootah Biofuels was founded in Dubai in 2010 to turn used cooking oil collected from restaurants, hotels and households into fuel. Its plant in Dubai Industrial City processes the oil into pure biodiesel, known as B100, which is also blended with ultra low sulphur diesel and sold as B5 through the company’s own fuelling outlets in Al Qusais, Al Quoz, Jebel Ali and Deira. Glycerine is recovered as a by-product. The company also supplies sustainable fuels for yachts, ships and aviation made from certified waste fats.
